Hermes VPS Drive Backup

Hermes VPS Drive Backup is an operator-only integration that connects an operator-controlled server to the operator’s own Google Drive account. It is intended to store encrypted backup archives of selected project files, operational records and configuration, and retrieve them for recovery.

This is not a public sign-up service. These pages explain the integration; they do not accept files, account credentials or payments.

The integration requests https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file. This permits access to files created by this app, or explicitly opened or shared with it. It does not grant unrestricted access to all pre-existing Drive files, Gmail or Google Calendar.

Access is used to create the backup location, upload and retrieve backup objects, inspect their metadata, and manage versions under the operator’s chosen retention settings. Google account approval happens on Google’s own pages, not on this website.

The operator-only integration is in validation. Storage connectivity has been checked. Unattended backups, independent key custody and recovery checks must be completed before the operator relies on it for disaster recovery.

Google’s OAuth publishing status describes application access, not a promise that a commercial service has been released. No public product release is announced here.

The operator chooses which files are included and retains control of the Google account and encryption keys. Access can be withdrawn from Google Account connections. Revoking access stops future authorized transfers; it does not itself delete files already in Drive.
